Mrs. Rebecca Miano
Rebecca Miano holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with Honours, and a diploma in Law and Post-graduate studies in Comparative Law. In 2010, she completed the Advanced Management Programme from Strathmore University. She is a registered Certified Public Secretary of Kenya and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK) and the Law Society of Kenya (LSK). Mrs. Miano was awarded the Company Secretary of the Year award in 2010 under the auspices of the ICPSK Champions of Governance.
She was appointed the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of KenGen on 30th October 2017. She had been the Company Secretary and Legal Affairs Director since 2008. She is a respectable lawyer with a career in law and corporate governance.
Rebecca was elected to the Stima Sacco Board on 29th March 2018 and subsequently elected as the Vice Chairperson on 4th April 2018. She was later elected as the Chair of the Board in September 2018.
Eng. Albert Mugo
Eng. Albert Mugo was elected to the Board of Stima Sacco in 2014. He served as Board Vice-Chairman from April 2016 and National Chairman from January 2017 to April 2018. He holds a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering and MBA degree in Strategic Management. He is a member of various professional bodies including Engineers Board of Kenya, Institution of Engineers of Kenya and Institute of Directors. Eng. Mugo has worked in the energy sector for over 37 years at Kenya Pipeline Company, Kenya Power and KenGen. He served as Managing Director of KenGen from January 2014 until his retirement in August 2017. He is currently an independent consultant in energy, management and leadership issues.
FCPA John Mudany
John Mudany, the Finance and ICT Director at KenGen, was elected to the Board of Stima Sacco on 24th March 2016 and subsequently elected as National Treasurer on 5th April 2016. He holds a Master of International Business Administration-MIBA and Bachelor of Commerce (University of Nairobi). Doctor of Philosophy Ph. D ongoing (Management University of Africa). He is a member of the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (FCPAK).
Mr. Mudany is currently a member of the Council and Chair of Audit Committee of United States International University (USIU). He is also a Non-Executive Director of the African Institute of Development Policy (AFIDEP).
Osman Kiloh [ICUDE, ADE]
Osman Khatolwa joined Kenya Power in 1998 and was elected as a Director of Stima Sacco in 2015 and Honorary Secretary on 5th April, 2017. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and MBA in operations management as well as a diploma in Social Protection and Development. He is a member of the Operations Management Society of Kenya. Mr. Khatolwa seats on the Board of Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company as a representative of the Sacco sector in Kenya.
Jossylyn Mutua is a seasoned marketer, having worked in Kenya Power, before joining the Rural Electrification Authority as a Chief Business Development Officer. She is a Chartered Marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketers (CIM) as well as a member of the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK).
Mr. Ngugi is the Managing Director and CEO of Kenya Power. Previously he was the Company’s General Manager in charge of Supply Chain. He took over from Eng. Jared Othieno who was the Acting Managing Director & CEO since July last year when he was appointed to the position following the exit of the former Management team.
Mr. Ngugi has over 30 years’ experience in the Company with expertise in financial and revenue accounting, internal audit and supply chain management. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
He is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. He is also a Certified Public Secretary of Kenya and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya.
Additionally, Mr Ngugi holds a Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies and is a member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management. He was elected to the Board of Stima Sacco on 13th March 2020.
CPA Joyce Awinja
Joyce was elected to the Board of Stima Sacco in 2012 and serves in the Procurement Oversight Committee and Finance Investment & Credit Committee. She is the Supply Chain Manager at Kenya Power. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Administration and an MBA in Strategic Management as well as a post-graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supplies (CIPS, UK) and Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM). She has over 20 years’ experience in Finance and Supply Chain Management.
David Monandi Manager, Employee Resourcing at Kenya Power was elected to the Board of Stima Sacco on 13th March 2020. He previously headed human resource & administration Division on acting capacity during the transition period.
Been in Kenya Power for the last 24 years including heading human resource development and performance management. Prior to joining Kenya Power, He worked in the Office of the President for 7 years as a Management Analyst in the directorate of personnel management.
David has been a Board Member of 2 Trustee Boards including chairing their HR & Corporate Governance Committees for one and half years. He is a holder of Executive MBA, Bachelor’s degree, Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and CPA Part 1.
CPS Imelda Bore
Imelda Bore the General Manager, Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary Kenya Power, was elected to the Board of Stima Sacco on 12th July 2019. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 15 years post admission experience, a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. She holds a Masters degree in Law (LLM) Public Finance from the University of Nairobi and Bachelor degree in Law (Moi University). She holds a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
She is an active member of the Law Society of Kenya, a Certified Public Secretary (ICPS K) and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
